Carmen was here....
Today, Carmen visited me in the hospital. I had my early shift and we were able to share a cup of coffee inside my room at Trogerstrasse in Haidhausen.
We had a hearty talk and am very thankful that she came. I treasure her friendship, and so Anke's.
I am very thankful that there are friends around who care about me.
Thank you, Carmen. Thank you, Anke!

Reviving Friendship with Tine
Finally, I was able to visit Tine in Ebersberg. I met her mother in-law, Gudrun; Cedi, her husband; and most especially, Colin, her handsome and playful son!
Tine, former sponsor to Ryan Nacor, and who visited Mel in the Philippines in 2005 and in 2009, is now coping up with her motherhood. I feel very proud and happy about her marriage and her giving birth to Colin.
Thank you, Tine, for the shared laughters and exchange of thoughts. Thank you for the friendship and may we see each other soon.

Friday, the 13th!
It was a day to remember!
Christa and I met at the Wiener Platz and spent an hour of laughters and talk. We both have our night shifts and we decided to have coffee and an Apfelstrudel with Vanilla Sauce before we attend to our duties. After spending an hour inside a coffee shop near Max Weber Platz in Munich, we decided to walk around the corner before going home. To our surprise and delight, it snowed and suddenly, everything was covered with snow, including our heads and clothes!
It felt good to have chilling snow in the cheeks. Indeed, it was a happy day for me. After living eight years in the Philippines, I feel lucky to experience again the falling snow in Germany.

Christmas with the "Olchis"
Christmas I spent with Mara and Günter, one of my bestfriends in Germany, former sponsors to Jaymmars Nolasco and Andy Crisostomo. It was very heartwarming because the whole family was there, namely:

Thanks for the memories, laughters and good food. My heartfelt gratitude for the gifts, too. I will never forget the weekend with you, "The Olchis".
Thank you also for the delicious German Meal!

Thanks for the letters!,
A chilling Saturday in Munich brought joy when Margie's letters came. Jo Ana's envelope with letters from Michael Blando was also inside Mel's post box today. At last! After a long wait! Michael Blando's request is a bit too late, asking for support for his OJT in Laguna.
Thank you, folks! I will translate the letters and send them to Fam. Fester, Christa, Fam. Klingler and Frau Hessenauer.
Take good care and enjoy your days!

Friends of Germany turns 9
The Friends of Germany will be celebrating its 9th Year Anniversary in November 2011!
Program founder and initiator Mel K. feels both sadness and happiness reminiscing the hardships and success she encountered implementing her goals set for the project."People can be so destructive when it comes to envy", Mel said. Death threats in Quirangay, Camalig, Albay, and destructive criticisms of corrupt Barangay officials in 2005, forced her to leave the children in Camalig but she continued and still continues to help whenever she can.
"The worst is not the encountered financial difficulties but the inacceptance and lack of support from my own family. My relatives think that I am giving more to other people than helping my own bloodline", Mel said. "Added to that, some of the children and parents in Quirangay misunderstood my goals but there are other children who were grateful and who understood my vision so that I continue to serve as a bridge to those who are needy and to those who are willing to help", Mel K. stated.
Mel K.'s friends from Germany who continue to support her to finance the needs of Michael Blando, Margie and Marites Nacor include Fam. Fester, Fam. Klingler and Frau Christa Mehringer.

Starting All Over Again
Whew! What a week! Now, I am in Klinikum rechts der Isar. I have a tiny flat but I am happy that I was able to get out of G3 in Grosshadern. I feel comfortable at Chirurgie 1/2. I have good feelings that I made the right decision to change my working place. I know that there are other better places to work and live in Munich.
I do not feel lonely at all. I have met a lot of friends and there are still handful of good friends yet to meet in Munich. Tine, Cedi and Colin are waiting for my visit.
By the way, yesterday was Margies Entrance Examinations at the Bicol University. I hope she would pass the tests so that she can grab a BS Chemistry or a Chemical Engineering Course there.
Let us keep our fingers crossed, Margie and thank you, Friends from Germany, for your never-ending support.

14 Days in Schwarzenberg
Fourteen days and nights in Schwarzenberg gave me enough strength and vitality to face my new assignment on the 16th of September, 2011, at the Klinikum Rechts der Isar in Munich.
Carmen and Anke made my stay really memorable and awesome.
Thank you, Carmen and Anke!
P.S. Thanks, too, to Frau Fester for being so kind and understanding. I will be visiting you sometime in October!

My heartfelt gratitude!
I would like to thank Christa for letting me use her flat for three consecutive nights at the Heiglhofstrasse in Munich. I slept very well and had some time to relax after finishing my duties at G3 Klinikum Grosshadern.
I will be missing some of my new friends. Time will tell if the friendship will truly last. Arsim, Nicole and Sophie are good comrades. Roland, my boss, will I never forget. To Frau Menacher, the one who gave me the trust and job in Munich last April 2011, my heartfelt gratitude.
I am very lucky because Christa is around in Munich. Without her, I would really feel at lost in here. She is a very dear friend. Always supportive and helpful in any way she can.
Mara, Günter, Isolde, Annamarie, Dominik, Tobias and Luzie from Olching are also giving me their moral support nowadays.
Anke and Carmen, the good, old friends from Old Heidelberg, are still very helpful to me. What a lucky person I am.
Thank you, guys, from the bottom of my heart.

Homesick in Munich!
For the first time after 14 weeks in Munich, Melk is getting homesick in Munich.
After almost 10 years of absence in Germany, life and living is not that easy for Melk nowadays. She has to cope up not only with the cold weather but also with her new colleagues and work shifts. Some of her colleagues are making her working time really hard.
Yes, life can be tough in Germany, especially when you are from a foreign country. Melk is thankful though, that some friends around like Fam. Fester, Christa, Carmen, Anke, Mara and Günter are helping her tackle big and small problems in Munich.

Lovely Crailsheim
Revisiting Crailsheim equals reminiscing the days when Melk got to know Thomas Fester 1997 in Heidelberg.
Thomas helped Melk during her Practical Nursing Examinations and a beautiful friendship began. He invited Melk to visit Crailsheim. Sadly, Thomas suddenly died of a heart failure but his parent's fulfilled his wish and they invited Mel to come to Crailsheim to attend Thomas's funeral. Those were heartbreaking moments but the beginning of a beautiful and heartwarming unique story from the lovely city of Crailsheim.
Fam.Wallo and Helga Fester become friends to Melk. In 2002, they supported Melk in organizing a child-help organization in Albay, Philippines. Through Fam. Fester, other generous sponsors namely Fam. Marco and Corinna, Frau Hessenauer and Fam. Wolfgang and Dagmar Klingler, gave (and some are still giving) their financial support to some needy but deserving children in Albay, Philippines.
June 06 and June 07 were memorable days for Melk. She was able to meet the generous and hardworking Frau Hessenauer, Marites' sponsor; Fam. Marco and Corinna with her lovely daughter Jule, and she had the chance to see again the kind couple Fam. Wallo and Helga Fester.
Fam. Marco and Corinna will continue to help Margie in her quest for a higher education. Margie is planning to study Education and to become a teacher someday. She will be needing eight (8) semesters, a period of four years. Fam. Fester wishes to continue their support for Michael Blando, who is attending his Bachelor of Arts in Technology at the Bicol University in Albay. Michael is currently on his 5th Semester.
The lovely city of Crailsheim is full of friendly and generous people.
Thank you, Crailsheim!

Nice to hear your voice, Margie and JoAna!
At last, after several attempts from Germany, I was able to reach Margie and JoAna via SMS and voice calls. Margie has yet to decide which school and course she will be attending. I hope you will pass your college entrance examination. Wish you luck!
To JoAna - congratulations for finishing your first year college course on Education. You can make it. Just study hard and your dreams will come true.
To Michael - congratulations for absolving your Second Year College in Electronics Technology. Two years of hard toils await you but I know that you will make it. Just study hard and take care of your health.
I would like to thank Fam. Fester from Crailsheim and Frau Mehringer from Munich for their continuous support.

To my friends in Germany
Reminiscing the past, it was the year 2002 when I started this child-help project in my homeland, The Philippines. We started with free tutorials and child activities on weekends. Thirty (30) children from needy barangays Pawa, Bogtong and Quirangay in Camalig, Albay, were given the opportunities to join the project. Six months after, we were able to give scholarships to four (4) students.
In 2004, as I left Germany for good, a total of ten (10) scholarships were given to poor but deserving students of Barangays Pawa, Bogtong and Camalig, Albay. In 2009, six (6) students graduated from High School. One of them, Michael Blando from Barangay Pawa, got a college scholarship from Fam. Fester from Crailsheim. The latter pays for his semestral fees and Michael gets One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) monthly as school allowance. Michael is now on his 2nd Year taking up Bachelor of Science in Electronics Technology.
Margie, the sponsor child of Fam. Klingler, got a monthly allowance of Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) monthly. The Friends from Germany shouldered miscellaneous costs including school uniforms, Christmas and birthday gifts, school supplies, shoes, clothes, and other unexpected dues such as field trips. The Dominican School in Camalig shouldered her monthly tuition and book fees. Her graduation fees were paid by Christa. Fam. Klingler and I donated some amount including a Five Hundred Peso (P500.00) cash gift. Margie also received a Surprise Box via LBC on March 22, 2011.
Margie, like Michael, will probably receive a College Scholarship Plan from the Dominican School in Camalig. She has yet to pass the College Entrance Examination in Bicol University in Albay.
Marites, the sponsor child of Frau Hessenauer, gets Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) monthly for transportation allowances. She is attending her 3rd Year High School in Malabog High School in Daraga this schoolyear 2011-2012 and will be finishing her High School in March 2013. Marites regularly gets school supplies, uniforms, Christmas and birthday cash gifts from The Friends From Germany. She is a sponsor child since 2004.
Looking back on those achievements, I also remember not only the financial hardships but also of the disappointments I encountered during those years - the extortion and death threats from Quirangay, the lack of support from the local authorities in Camalig, the distrust of some parents of the sponsored children, and the worst - my own family's envy towards this child-help project. Nevertheless, the never-ending support and understanding of my friends in Germany gave me strength to continue with my goals of helping those children. Without your financial help, I will not be able to send those children to school. Margie's graduation on March 25, 2011, is another proud achievement of friends helping each other to change the lives of poor children.
I am very thankful to you, my dear friends in Germany and Austria, for touching the lives of Liezel Padios, Maribel Nacor, Rosemarie Nacor, Margie Nacor, Marites Nacor, Andy Crisostomo, Michael Blando, Jaymmars Nolasco, Joey Nantes, and Ryan Nacor.
My gratefulness to the project caretaker, Jo Ana Crisostomo, a sponsor child of the Children's International in Pawa, Legazpi City, Albay, for her continuous and honest fulfillment of her duties for the welfare of the members of the Friends of Germany.
As I leave on March 25, 2011 for Munich, Germany, to work again as a Nurse, I will carry with me the memories I shared with these children and I will personally, one by one, over a cup of coffee or tea, thank you all for the financial help and moral support you gave me to make this endeavour a success.
See you all soon in Germany!
Fondly,
mel

A Letter from Margie, Maribel, Marites and Family
Ate Mel,
Hi po sainyo, Merry Christmas and advance Happy New Year. Thank you very much.
We wish you all the best and more success. God bless you. Thank you very much. Take care always.
Mahal po namin kayo..and we miss you a lot!
Merry Christmas and best wishes.

Hallo, liebe Freunde!

www.antipinoy.com
Hallo Mick, Jo Ana, Margie and Marites,
www.antipinoy.com is critical and logical thinking. You can read the articles there, if you have time. If you do not understand something, do not hesitate to ask questions. Send them thru SMS or email. I will be glad to answer your queries.
I know you are all busy with your studies but try to manage your time so there will be some minutes left for politics. Often, television and newspapers are telling only the other side of the stories.
Be critical in your thinking.
For now, we wish you Happy Learning!
Mel and The Friends of Germany

May 04, 2010 Meeting
Mel K. left San Fernando, La Union on the dawn of May 03, 2010, and after almost twenty (20) hours of bus ride, she reached Legazpi on May 04, 2010, at 07:00 am. The first step was to visit the Crisostomo of Pawa, Mrs. Nerlita Crisostomo and daughter Jo Ana, project caretakers since 2006.
Mel K. was able to get the donation from Fam. Fester from Banco De Oro. At 09:00 o'clock, everyone was present at Dunkin' Donuts, where the Friends of Germany members meet and greet each other over a cup of chocolate and a donut. It has become a tradition starting the meeting with a Donut Snack.
Maribel and Rosemarie Nacor took some days off to join the rest of the group - Margie, Marites and Michael. There were a lot of stories to tell since Mel K. was not there for three (3) long years. The kids have grown up. Everyone looked happy except for Marites, who was consistently reminded by the group to speak, to laugh and to smile.
After the snack, the group went to Ely's Studio for the group picture taking, then strolled along the Sea Wall Park and Boulevard in Legazpi City Port. Bonding time for the members. Everyone spoke with each other. The children were laughing and talking to each other.
After the walk, the group went to Boklan Restaurant for some rice, vegetables and noodles. Shopping for school supplies and other things came next and again, it was time to say goodbye to each other. The same day, Mel K. left Legazpi to San Fernando, La Union for another twenty (20) hours of bus drive.
The group is thanking Fam. Fester, Fam. Klingler, Frau Hessenauer and Frau Mehringer for their untiring support. Without their help to Mel, the latter will not be able to continue the financial support to Margie, Michael and Marites.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much!

Congratulations, Jo Ana!!
Here is an excerpt from Jo Ana's Letter to Mel in April 2010
"I am so happy to have two (2) medals! I went on stage to give Mama the fruits of her sweat and labor. I have just realized that the four (4) years of hard toils were over. For four (4) consecutive years, I endured walking dailly through sunshine and sometimes through the rain until I finally went onstage to receive my Diploma and medals. I have a feeling of accomplishment, and I am so glad that I made my Mama proud.
Thank you, Ate Mel, for the help and support. Thank you for being one of my inspirations. Ate, I will do my best to achieve my goals. This is the beginning and the first step, and no matter how difficult the challenges will be, I will never give up. I will do my best to carry them out. I will strive harder, think positive and believe in myself.
Danke. Take care." Jo Ana

Mayon Vulkan macht uns Sorgen
The children in Legazpi and Camalig, Albay, are in Evacuation Centers because the Mayon Volcano is spewing ashes and causing earthquakes.
The children will be spending their Christmas Season away from home.
Though a sad situation, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2010!

- melk

Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Michael!
Congratulations, Michael!
Michael Blando successfully graduated from High School on April 04, 2009. His mother, Mrs. Jocelyn Blando, sent Melk and her Friends from Germany, a Thank You letter, expressing her heartfelt gratefulness for helping her family and Michael for six (6) consecutive years. Her letter was very touching that it made Melk shed tears of joy.
Mrs. Jocelyn Blando is the only one who wrote a Thank You letter to Melk and to her Friends in Germany.
Michael Blando finished High School and he is lucky enough to have friends from Germany who are willing to help him acquire a professional career in life. We wish Michael and his family the best of the years to come.
Keep up the good work, Michael! Go get your dreams!!!

Congratulations, Ryan & Marites!
Ryan and Marites are having their graduation rites on April 2, 2009. Margie has just informed me thru SMS that both are in the Top Ten (10) of their batch and will be receiving recognition during the graduation ceremonies.
We are proud of you, Marites and Ryan. Hopefully, we can still help you both finish your high school education. The project is ending but Melk is hoping to have enough funds for the coming schoolyear.

What a luck!!!
Margie sent me a SMS today, telling me that she received the amount of P1,360.00 refund from ESC, a government project assisting poor but deserving students in Camalig, Albay, Philippines.
She told me that she does not need to transfer because the Lusila Foundation will be paying her tuition fees next year and the miscellaneous fees will be covered by the ESC of the Dominican School in Camalig.
This is a lucky day for Melk and Margie. In these times of global crisis, every cent counts and we are happy that there are people who are willing to help.
Margie Nacor, 14 years of age, is one of the three (3) remaining sponsor children of the Friends from Germany for 2009. Her sponsor is the Family Klingler of Crailsheim, Germany. She is entering her Third Year High School at the Dominican School in Camalig, Albay, Philippines.
A member of the Kinderhilfe/Friends from Germany Scholarship Project since 2004, Margie is showing maturity in her words and in her actions. Melk is hoping that Margie can achieve her dreams. She has the potentials, the hardwork, the perseverance and the faith to succeed.
Keep up the good work, Margie!

March 6 to 8, 2009: Heartbreaking But Happy Days
The Sixth (6th) Year
March 6, 2009 -
Melk left La Union on March 4, 2009, arrived in Legazpi on the dawn of March 6, 2009. After a short briefing with the project caretaker, Mrs. Nerly Crisostomo and Jo Ana Crisostomo, she went to the Dominican School to settle the graduation fees of Maribel Nacor, Jaymmars Nolasco, Joey Nantes and Rosemarie Nacor. The meeting with the children was emotional. Melk's last visit was in June 2007, during the visit of her friend Christa. There were tears of joy. The children gained weight and height. Liezel Padios, the sponsor child of Fam. Klingler from Satteldorf, was again surprised by her visit. Graduation fees and allowances were given.
March 7, 2009 -
The children had their final examinations. Melk had a one day rest, which she spent to climb up the Lignon Hill, near her hometown Pawa. After that, she made some gift shopping for the children of the Friends of Germany. The rest of the afternoon she spent with her Auntie, who made some special rice sweets (suman).
March 8, 2009 -
Melk fetched up the children from Quirangay in Camalig, Albay, as early as 7:00 am. Ten (10) children went up the Lignon Hill together with Melk on that day. They visited the Japanese Tunnel and the Lignon Park, which is some 160 meters above sea level. Not so high but the hot sun made the climb not that easy. Everyone was happy to see the aerial view of Legazpi City.
On top of Lignon Hill, they reminisced the memories back in 2002 on to 2008. Melk informed them of her plans for some children and wished the others goodluck in their future endeavours.
At about 10:00am, they went down and rode a jeepney to the Gaisano Mall in Legazpi, where they ate something for lunch. After that, a Gift Giving Activity for Graduation 2009 was held.
They agreed to meet again in two (2) years. Margie Nacor, Marites Nacor and Ryan Nacor will continue to receive help from Melk so that they can finish High School Education. Another four (4) years of financial assistance and moral support for the three (3) remaining scholars.
Michael Blando will eventually get a college assistance fund from Herr Fester of Crailsheim. It depends upon the result of his College Entrance Examination at the Bicol University, a government-owned institution in Legazpi.
Melk brought the children back to Quirangay, Camalig, Albay. It was a happy day for her.

Einen guten Rutsch!
Happy New Year!
Es wackelt spät durch Nacht und Wind,
Ein Ferkelchen das lacht und singt,
Es wünscht nur Eines,
das ist klar,
Alles Gute Im Neuen Jahr.

Lot of Things To Do
To my friends in Germany, Austria and the Philippines
Busy months passed and are still ahead! My shop in San Fernando, La Union, keeps me busy looking for unique things to sell! It is fun. It gives me a feeling that I am not idle, have something to do. Legazpi kept me busy with my free tutorials and San Fernando with sweets and gifts.
Welcome back home, Family Fester, who has just returned from their North Sea Holidays. Congratulations, Carmen, for your new job as Stewardess! Christine is busy with her seminars.
Corinna and Marco are building their house in Satteldorf, and Anke is awaiting birth of her second child. I wish you all luck and happiness in everything you do, whereever you are, dear friends of mine!
Our sponsored children in Legazpi are also in good condition. They are now having their second semester. The next meeting is in December, this will be the last Christmas Gathering for this project. In March 2009, seven (7) of them are finishing high school.
Thank you, my dear friends, for your trust and help.
May God Bless Us All!

Liezel bleibt in Malabog High School. Michael ist in Pagasa High School weiterhin angemeldet. Ryan und Marites schliessen die 6. Stufe in Quirangay Elementary School.

Happy Valentines To All!!
Greetings to all my friends in Germany, Austria, and the Philippines!
It has been a long time since my last article. Melk was busy and is still busy with her Pumpernickel Gifts and Sweets Shop in San Fernando, La Union. The business permits required a month and the main products - earth-friendly Katsa Bags and Travel Comforters like Eyeshades, Hairband and Cosmetic bags need to be sewed. Some items are hand-made and are being designed by Melk. On February 8, the store opened with business hours from 1500 to 1800h. Fortunately, the kids love the sweets and chocolates!
The children of Albay are sending messages thru SMS. Everything is fine out there. The school is ending in March, 2008. April and May are holiday months. Enrollment will be in May, 2008, for the last year of sponsorship. In 2009, the goal is to let some graduates learn handwork. This depends on the availability of the budget.
To all of you, my heartfelt greetings and thanks for all your support!

Welcome, 2008!
How time flies!
Liezel, the sponsor child of Family Klingler from Satteldorf, sent me a SMS Message asking for a little help for her coming Junior-Senior Prom in February, 2008! She got One Thousand Pesos, (P1,000.00) as school allowance for the month of January to cover additional school costs.
Time is passing swiftly! I can still remember Liezel as a young and timid child in November 2002! Now, she has grown up as a young, self-confident young woman. In a year, she will be finishing High School. It has been five (5) years since we have started this child-help project.

Remembering the Rotary Club of Paranaque
Today, before the year ends, I would like to reminisce my High School days in Paranaque. There are a lot of people who helped me in one way or another. Like the Rotary Club of Paranaque, then headed by PP Rolly A. Suarez, with Youth Director Mr. Vic dela Dingco, PP Herman T. Gamboa, PP Dads Punzalan, PP Dan Angeles and many others, to whom I owe an apology for not remembering their names but their friendly faces. I hope this message will reach you so as to let you know that your efforts helping needy students bear good fruits. With much humility,
I am a proud product of the Rotary Club of Paranaque!
To Rotary Interact Adviser of Paranaque Municipal High School Year 1983-1984, Ms. Virginia M. Lorenzo, a dear teacher and friend, who until now inspires me to give fulfillment in everything I do, my heartfelt gratitude.
Thank you, my dear friends and mentors.

Vielen herzlichen Dank, meine liebe Freunde!
Happy New Year To Everyone!
Frohes Neues Jahr!
Herzlichen Dank, meine liebe Freunde!

Poor Homeland - Philippines!
Jaymmars Nolasco, a 3rd-year student of Dominican School in Camalig, Albay, sent me a SMS yesterday informing me that the latter issued him and the other four (4) scholars a statement of account demanding for tuition and computer fees for December, 2007. Well, one may think this is usual but considering the fact that the children are under the school's contracting program since 2005 - this is not. For 2 consecutive years, the usual procedure is that the monthly tuition and computer fees are being deducted from the so-called ESC Funds, which is amounting to Pesos Four Thousand (P4,000.00) per year and per child. This year, this seems to be different.
The old principal is gone and the new one imposes other rules. Unfortunately, for small child-help project like mine, new rules are not always advantageous and acceptable. I have written a letter to the principal stating that the new rules would lead to a sudden and immediate termination of all scholarship grants due to limited source of funds. Five (5) sponsor children will be affected by this, namely: Maribel Nacor, Rosemarie Nacor, Joey Nantes, Jaymmars Nolasco, and Margie Nacor. This letter will be mailed on December 17, 2007 via LBC Express, and is expected to be received by the Dominican School Principal by December 18, 2007.
This situation makes me sad. After a series of harassment and extortion in Quirangay, Camalig, Albay, and after almost six (6) years of getting help, support and understanding from my FRIENDS IN GERMANY AND AUSTRIA, I do feel that my homeland, Philippines, and the Filipino people themselves should be concerned in helping these needy children to at least finish High School Education. I have been through all the process of a very tiring registration for the purpose of accreditation and am still in the process of documentation for this project but until now, I do not see any sign of help from my countrymen. My letters to the Department of Social Welfare and Development remained unanswered and my calls were not returned. Those concerned were in important conferences and could not (or would not) attend to my requests.
My Friends in Germany are informed of the financial flow and situation on this project thus they know that from December to March of every schoolyear, the tuition and computer fees of their sponsored children are being covered by this ESC Funds as a part of this school-community project. My friends in Germany have also their own expenses and problems. One is facing a cancer operation, one has a disabled child to take care of, one has two (2) kids to support, one has anxiety over a possible loss of job, and the old ones getting small pensions has problems coping up with the inflation. But still these people extend their help. Early December, they sent the children some amount for Christmas Gifts. On December 23, 2007, these gifts (already wrapped and sent together with the remaining cash gifts to the project caretaker last week, will be distributed. A week before the Christmas Holidays, the children were given the billings and they were told that they cannot take the Examinations when they do not pay. Now how can I explain to the sponsor that suddenly, the Dominican School in Camalig is no longer willing to shoulder the usual expenses for December to March?
I am not willing to add another burden to my friends in Germany for this. They are giving more than enough and why should we feel responsible for these children when the Filipinos themselves do not? I do not have the financial capabilities to cover the costs. Hence, it seems that I will have no other choice as to stop this project, if the school and the local government are not willing to do their part.
I just hope that the new principal of Dominican School in Camalig will understand the situation.
Rich people of the Philippines, where are though?
